March April and May is traditionally the time of year when the little boys and girls make their holy communion.  For many its the first time they are all dressed up and the day is special because its their day. They are center of attention and they  love it! Mams and dads spend the weeks and months before the communion day getting the special clothes for all the family members, organizing bouncy castle ,food and drink for the after party. On the day the chaos of getting ready finally comes to an end as the church ceremony begins and the child receives the sacrament of holy communion.

NOW IT’S PHOTO TIME : Everyone is looking well, the ladies have the makeup and hair done, the gentleman are clean shaven and( have scrubbed up well). This is the ideal time to not only visually document the child’s day but it is the perfect time to get that family group photo done, which will hold pride of place displayed on your wall or mantle at home. Don’t let this opportunity pass by as with the passing of time the opportunity is gone. So why not take a look at the packages below .On the day Some photos will have been taken with the mobile phone, which more than likely wont be printed and the photo file will be lost once the phone is obsolete. In order to get the perfect photo, a photography studio has the perfect light controlled environment to do so. Joe Diggins photography has a fully equipped professional studio to create quality portraits for you to cherish for all time. We cater for large and small family groups, We also have a “communion day package” where we go to the house in the morning, attend the ceremony and then afterward outdoor photos in the church grounds or near by third location.

Communion photography at home

We offer a mobile studio service where we set up a backdrop or green screen to take studio photos at your home.

   (School Booking) on the day of the Communion, at the church

When a school books Joe Diggins Photography, exclusively for the day of the communion ( free to the school) to take the official group photos. We offer a churchyard service before the mass or an indoor service at the top of the church, after the mass if the day is inclement to all the boys and girls. This is on a first come first served basis. Once the photos are taken a watermarked proof sheet is sent to your E-Mail address to select the images to print and the package you prefer.
