The weather plays such an integral part of any Irish wedding and it’s unpredictability cannot be planned for. When you plan for a June wedding in any other country you can be guaranteed sunshine, but unfortunately not on our green isle. Paul and Lorraine chose to have their wedding ceremony in Our lady star of the sea church in Quilty Co. Clare. A beautiful picturesque little church on the Clare coast. The weather was not great with that heavy mist, that you get on the coast, that would drown you in a couple of minutes .You cant beat the luck of the Irish and we counted our blessings because, when we wanted it to stop raining for the location photos outdoors ,the rain had eased, Thank God!
Lorraine and Paul were such a joy to work with and as in all cases, if there is a good working relationship built up, in the weeks prior to the wedding ,the result was ,relaxed radiant smiles for all to see. Lorraine and Paul with their bridesmaids and best men were up for anything and we had a great time photographing the wedding party on one of the rocky strands close to Quilty. They don’t call this coast the wild Atlantic way for nothing ,as the backdrop of the raging sea was something to behold. The wedding party took shelter from the wind and rain in The Armada hotel Spanish point where a large group of Lorraine and Pauls family and friends were wined dined and entertained into the early hours. Part of the entertainment came in the form of members of Pauls family who put on a display of Irish dancing that was worthy of an admission fee.
All in all a great day of photographs with a wonderful couple.
